We stayed with Sonny and Mary for 2 days at their lovely home and we're very happy we found this little gem. This was by far the best B&B we stayed at during our trip to Ireland and I would recommend this place over and over again. The view outside their welcome room is stunning and I enjoyed sitting and looking out at the countryside while the rest of the family was waking up. We enjoyed chatting with Sonny and Mary and listening to their story of how they got into the B&B business. They were great hosts and the breakfast was amazing and we had plenty to eat. If I get a chance to go back to Ireland, I would definitely book here again. Mitchelstown is also centrally located in south central Ireland and within driving distance of many attractions which is why I chose this location in the first place. We'll maybe because their last name was O'Connell too. We can't say thank you enough and wish the best to them and all who stay at the Palm Lodge in the future.

We had a great experience at this B&B. Mary and Sonny were great hosts had had a great knowledge of the area. They were able to find a local historian who helped and provide information on family connections in the area. Room was excellent with great views. Breakfast was excellent. I would highly recommend Palm Lodge

Mary was a very nice and welcoming host. Our room had a delightful picturesque view. The accommodations were very neat and the facilities were very good. Mary gave us a great recommendation for a restaurant in Mitchelstown, the Market Place, which is open Wednesday through Sunday. We met the proprietor, John, and enjoyed a lovely trip to Lahinch upon his recommendation after we had visited the Cliffs of Moher. This would not have likely happened were it not for the generous hospitality and knowledge of our host, Mary. Wonderful breakfast, too!
